Homicide investigation underway in McDonald County

A homicide investigation is underway in McDonald County.
Deputies were called to the Minnow Springs area of Noel just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday regarding a fatal stabbing.
A State Trooper was able to locate the suspect a short distance from the scene.
32-year old Garrett Lee Sumpter of Bartlesville, Oklahoma is being held on charges of 2nd degree murder and armed criminal action.
The victim's name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
