Confirmed - 2 Southwest Missouri weekend tornadoes

The National Weather Service in Springfield confirmed a tornado touched down in Vernon County Friday night about 20 miles northwest of Nevada.  

The EF-1 storm was on the ground just under 3 and a half miles and was 95 yards wide destroying a couple of out buildings and uprooting several trees.

Another weak tornado was confirmed near Hurley in Stone County on Sunday night.  

Reports indicate the EF-0 tornado uprooted some trees and damaged a barn.  

The tornado was on the ground about a half mile.
