Mother sentenced for deaths of her children

A Kansas City area woman has been sentenced in the hot car deaths of her children.

Spending nearly 60 years in prison is what Jenna Boedecker of Kearney will be doing.

Her two young daughters died after being left inside of a hot vehicle in July 2018.

Both were under the age of 3.

Boedecker was found guilty of second-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child, domestic assault, and property damage.

The sentences for each charge will run consecutively, totaling 58 years of time behind bars.
