Joplin City Council to discuss Theatre Community Improvement District

The Joplin City Council meets Monday night.

Among agenda items will be a petition to approve amendments to an already-approved measure that established a 32nd Street Theatre Community Improvement District.

In February, B & B Theatres announced plans to build a new theater at the southeast corner of 32nd Street and Hammons Boulevard.

Also, the Council is also expected to continue discussion over a possible measure to ban the sale of small alcohol shooter bottles in the city limits.

The meeting gets underway at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main.
