Morning accident causes serious injures to woman from Jasper

An accident on Route A, about 4 miles south of Golden City around 7:40 this morning, resulted in injuries to a woman from Jasper.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an eastbound car driven by 55-year-old Kelbi K. Thompson failed to negotiate a curve, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert.

Her car then went off the left side of the road, overturned and struck a fence.

Thompson was seriously injured and was transferred by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
