I-44 crash near Sarcoxie injures woman from Joplin

I-44 crash near Sarcoxie injures woman from Joplin

A woman from Joplin was injured in an accident on I-44 near Sarcoxie around noon on Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when an eastbound vehicle driven by 44-year-old Brett Meeker traveled off the left side of the roadway and hit an embankment.

The vehicle then went airborne and overturned.

Meeker suffered moderate injuries.

She was transported to a Mercy Springfield hospital for treatment.
