Missouri State Troopers Report 6 Traffic Deaths, 1 Drowning Over July 4th Holiday

The Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated six traffic deaths and one drowning over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

State troopers worked a total of 285 vehicle crashes between Friday and Monday night, which included 107 injuries and six fatalities.

They also made 141 D-W-I arrests and 82 drug arrests.

Eleven boat crashes in Missouri left five people injured.

Troopers say 25-year-old Uriel Ramirez of Collinsville, Illinois drowned after jumping off a bluff into the Meramec River near Sullivan on Monday.

There were seven traffic deaths, one boating fatality and one drowning over the holiday period last July.
