Fire destroys house in Reeds

Fire destroyed a house in Reeds on Sunday.
It happened around 5:45 a.m. at 4491 S. Smith in that community.
Sarcoxie Rural firefighters fought the fire with support from fire crews from Carthage and Avilla.
When they arrived they found the wooden home totally engulfed.
Jasper County deputies and a Carthage Mercy ambulance were at the scene.
The State Fire Marshal will be assisting in the investigation of that blaze.
