Kansas Rep. Aaron Coleman arrested on domestic battery charge

A Kansas State Representative was arrested Saturday night on a domestic battery charge.

The Kansas City Star reports that Overland Park police took Rep. Aaron Coleman into custody.

The 21-year-old lawmaker, a Democrat, has been accused several times in the past of acting inappropriately, including by a former girlfriend who said he slapped and choked her.

The details of the arrest Saturday weren’t immediately known.

Coleman is set to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
