Former Senator Ed Emery dies

Former Missouri State Senator Ed Emery has died following a heart episode that lead to his hospitalization last Tuesday.
Emery collapsed during a speaking engagement in Randolph County and was taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
Emery was campaigning for the U.S. House seat from Missouri's 4th Congressional District.
Gov. Mike Parson announced Emery’s death Saturday in a tweet and said Emery leaves an “enduring legacy in public service.”
Emery was running for the seat currently occupied by Vickie Hartzler who is running for the U.S. Senate.
