SWAT team used to take Joplin resident into custody Thursday night

After a series of events that transpired Thursday evening into early Friday morning, a man from Joplin is in custody.
Reports say the situation started at 10:30 PM Thursday, when the Joplin SWAT team surrounded the residence of 1016 South Connecticut, Apt 6.
Also on scene was a Joplin Police MRAP vehicle, which was used as a shield to help officers get closer.
After verbal instructions from the police, the individual eventually complied and exited the residence around 12:30 PM.
No one was injured in the incident.
