Sunday night car-deer accident injures one

Sunday at 8:15 p.m., 19-year-old Joplin resident Audrey Cannon was injured in a one-vehicle accident with a deer. The crash took place in the southbound direction of I-49 in Bates County. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 19-year-old Joplin resident Geoffery Currier hit a deer.

Cannon, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered minor injuries.
