Carthage woman killed in accident on Highway 171

A two-vehicle crash has claimed the life of a woman from Carthage.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol tells Newstalk KZRG that at 12:50 p.m., 42-year-old Sara Graue pulled from the shoulder on Highway 171 into the path of a vehicle driven by 73-year-old Ronald Edson of Fredonia, Kansas. Graue was later pronounced dead. Edson suffered minor injuries and was taken to a Joplin hospital. That accident happened just one mile west of Carthage.
