Attempted child abduction, false impersonation and burglary charges have been filed against a Noel, Missouri, resident after an incident Saturday morning.
Court documents say a man, dressed as a woman, went to a home, posing as a Missouri social worker and did a search of their house.
The suspect, 21-year-old N’Twone D. Materne, then took the woman’s 3-month-old out of her hands and sat on the couch with the child talking about the way her house looked. Materne even stood up and nearly fell with the baby in hand.
The mother says when went to take her child back, Materne refused. The mom then quickly snatched the baby back.
Authorities say Materne even asked the woman’s boyfriend for a hit of his vape.
Materne then left when the couple asked to see their badge, saying he’d be back with the badge and to take the children away.
