A Joplin woman, accused of threatening to kill another woman with a kitchen knife, now faces four felony charges.

24-year-old Angelina Mack told investigators that voices had instructed her to kill the victim and that she would have done so had the woman not escaped.

Mack is charged with first-degree assault or attempted assault, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

According to court documents, the confrontation happened on Halloween.

Investigators say Mack approached the victim outside a home while holding a kitchen knife and threatened to stab her.

"You are not going anywhere because I'm going to stab you," Mack allegedly told the woman.

The victim fled into her vehicle, but police say Mack followed, tapped on the window with the knife and attempted to use it to unlock the door.

The woman eventually escaped by driving away.

She is being held without bond.
