Road rage arrest in Neosho leads to four child endangerment charges
What do you think?
A Neosho man was arrested after he pointed what appeared to be a handgun at motorists during a road rage incident while four children were riding in his vehicle.
38-year-old Shaun Eugene Moore was arrested Monday following the incident.
Investigators say Moore was driving a maroon Honda Pilot when he allegedly began tailgating another vehicle and driving aggressively.
A woman in the other vehicle told police Moore displayed a black handgun and pointed it in her direction, causing her to fear for her safety.
An officer later pulled Moore over and questioned him about the encounter.
Moore acknowledged being involved in a road rage incident and agreed to let officers search his vehicle.
They found a realistic replica handgun behind the passenger seat.
Four children were inside Moore's SUV during the incident.
After being taken into custody, Moore allegedly admitted to investigators that he displayed the weapon out of his driver's side window during the confrontation.
He is facing seven charges, including unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action, four counts of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and fourth-degree assault.
Moore has an extensive history of failing to appear in court over the previous three years.
