Neosho Police Department Launches “Neosho November” Initiative

NEOSHO, Mo. – The Neosho Police Department is putting its own spin on No Shave November with Neosho November; an initiative focused on giving back to the community throughout November and December.
This year, the Neosho Police Department is using Neosho November to give back by collecting food for The Help Center, helping support those in our community who may be struggling to put food on the table.
Members of the department see firsthand that some individuals and families in our community are struggling to meet basic needs. Through Neosho November, the department hopes to help address those needs while supporting The Help Center and the services it provides to the community.
During November, participating employees will work to collect at least $100 in monetary donations, food, goods or services for The Help Center. Employees who accept the challenge may grow a beard or earn an additional day of leave. Employees who continue their efforts by contributing an additional $100 in December may continue the program for another month or earn an additional leave day.
While the program provides a fun incentive for employees, its main purpose is to show appreciation for the support the Neosho Police Department receives from the community and to give back to those who may need a helping hand.
"Neosho November is about giving back to the community that supports us throughout the year," Chief Peter Russell said. "If we can have a little fun while helping put food on the table for our neighbors, that's a win for everyone."
The Neosho Police Department encourages the community to join its employees in supporting The Help Center throughout November and December.
