Police searching for armed, dangerous fugitive following pursuit from Aurora to Verona
What do you think?
Authorities in Lawrence County are searching for a fugitive wanted on multiple felony warrants, including armed robbery, following a police pursuit Thursday morning.
The Aurora Police Department identified the suspect as Brandon Packwood, who officers say should be considered armed and dangerous.
Police said officers attempted to stop a pickup truck pulling a trailer in Aurora early Thursday.
The driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit north along Missouri Highway 39 toward Verona.
The pursuit ended near BNSF Railway property on Verona's north side after the truck was damaged.
Both Packwood and a passenger fled on foot.
Officers apprehended the passenger, but Packwood escaped.
Police believe Packwood may still be in the Verona area and say he is familiar with the community.
Authorities warn that he has a history of violence and may attempt to deceive you into allowing him access to your home or vehicle.
