A man from Vernon County died Tuesday night when his vehicle struck a house near Nevada.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says it happened at 7 p.m. one mile east of Nevada on Noah Road.

The driver, a 45-year-old man from Milo, was heading east in a 2001 Chevrolet C2500 when the vehicle went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the left side of the road and crashed into a house.

The driver, who was reported to not have been wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at Nevada Regional Medical Center around 7:45 p.m.

It was Highway Patrol Troop D's 97th fatality for 2026.
