Pittsburg man arrested after police chase crosses state line

An 18-year-old Pittsburg man was arrested Friday after a vehicle pursuit that crossed from Kansas into Missouri.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were looking for a vehicle that had earlier fled from law enforcement in Missouri.

They found it near Northeast 30th Street and Coal Valley Road.

Authorities said the driver initially stopped, then fled and led deputies back into Missouri.

A Highway Patrol trooper deployed a tire-deflation device, disabling both passenger-side tires.

The driver, identified as Patrick Allen Kincade, was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Jail.

He faces charges in both Missouri and Kansas.
