Cassville man drowns after jet ski capsizes on Table Rock Lake

A 58-year-old Cassville man died after his jet ski capsized on Table Rock Lake.

The incident happened around 5:17 p.m. Saturday, about a mile southeast of Eagle Rock.

Investigators say the man was traveling south on a 1991 Yamaha watercraft when he made a sharp right turn, lost his balance and caused the vessel to capsize.

He was ejected, went underwater and did not resurface.

His body was recovered and positively identified Sunday.

Authorities say next of kin has been notified but did not release his name.
