Seneca teenage girl crashes while leading deputies on high-speed pursuit

A 14-year-old girl from Seneca was seriously injured in a crash after leading law enforcement on a pursuit early Saturday.

The teen was reportedly behind the wheel of a pickup that had been reported taken or stolen.

When deputies attempted a traffic stop, she fled, leading them on a high-speed chase while hitting speeds over 100mph.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says that the truck ended up going airborne and overturning multiple times on Gateway Drive north of Neosho.

The report says she was not using a safety device.

Deputies also claim she showed signs of being under the influence while driving.

Because the driver is a juvenile, her name has not been released.
