Vision Carthage Partners with Habitat for Humanity to improve homes - seven across Carthage
Over 200 volunteers are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity and Vision Carthage to perform needed landscaping and repairs to 17 homes.

Carthage, MO – Vision Carthage will host its annual Restoration Carthage Work Day from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Over 200 volunteers from Carthage, Joplin and surrounding areas are teaming up with Habitat for Humanity and Vision Carthage to perform needed repairs and landscaping to a total of 17 homes over the weekend, seven being in Carthage.
The Restoration Carthage Program encourages home improvement education through a variety of workshops and classes held April through September.
Individuals selected are required to attend at least three classes to be considered for assistance on the annual Restoration Carthage Work Day.
The project is made possible through funding, supplies, and services provided by the Corley Memorial Trust, Community National Bank & Trust, The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines, Abernathy Roofing & Construction, Carthage Water & Electric, Reliable Rolloffs, Fair Acres Family YMCA, Midwest Window & Pressure Washing, Kirk Brewer Construction, Scott’s Landscaping, Sherwin Williams, Tractor Supply, The McCune Brooks Healthcare Foundation and Hearts & Hammers. Student volunteers from KCU – Joplin, Missouri Southern State University and the Carthage area are also joining the efforts.
