CARTHAGE, Mo. — Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity is preparing to hand over the keys to a milestone build this Friday, marking the organization’s 200th home constructed across the Four State area.

The dedication ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 18, at 1017 S. River Street in Carthage.

The build will officially become home to a local resident, Jenni, and her family. For Habitat leaders, the house represents more than three decades of community-driven construction aimed at providing stable, affordable homeownership to local families willing to put in the work.

Friday’s event is open to the public, bringing together the volunteers, donors, and community partners who swung hammers and framed the structure from the dirt up.

Those looking for more information about the dedication or future volunteer builds can visit joplinhabitat.org or call 417-782-6533.
