Bentonville, Ark. - This month, New Nexus Group is making it easier than ever to bring home a new best friend. From March 20-22, the Bentonville-based organization will host the New Connections Adoption Weekend at the Best Friends Pet Resource Center, with all pet adoption fees sponsored by New Nexus Group.
All adopters will also go home with a swag bag provided by New Nexus Group partners and community brands, including treats, pet care products, and accessories.
This sponsorship will highlight the importance of connection, a core value of New Nexus Group, by bringing pets and people together to get more dogs and cats into loving homes where they belong.
“We are incredibly proud to partner with Best Friends Animal Society for the New Connections Adoption Weekend,” said Bianca Difonzo Smith, VP of Ecommerce & Analytics, New Nexus Group. “At New Nexus Group, we believe strong communities are built through connection, and there is nothing more powerful than connecting a pet with a loving home. Our team is excited to support Best Friends’ lifesaving work and help create an event that brings people together while making a real impact for dogs and cats in Northwest Arkansas.”
In addition to running the Best Friends Pet Resource Center and other locations throughout the country, Best Friends partners with more than 6,000 shelters and rescue organizations nationwide, including right here in Arkansas. As part of the organization’s goal to take the entire country no-kill, Best Friends supports shelters in the Natural State and beyond to increase pet lifesaving by getting dogs and cats out of the shelters and into loving homes.
“Best Friends’ data shows that if an additional one out of every 200 Arkansas households adopted a pet this year, the entire state could be no-kill,” said Michelle Logan, Executive Director, Best Friends Pet Resource Center. “Thanks to New Nexus Group’s generous sponsorship of adoptions, many people will bring home a new dog or cat this weekend, getting us one step closer to a time when no pet dies in a shelter due to lack of space.”
Those interested in adopting during New Connections Adoption Weekend are invited to stop by the Best Friends Pet Resource Center at 1312 Melissa Drive in Bentonville, AR on March 20, 21, and 22 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. In addition to adoptable dogs and cats, visitors will find resources for pet owners in need, a coffee shop, local art, and a full calendar of free, family-friendly events.
A first-of-its-kind facility, the Best Friends Pet Resource Center reimagines how communities support pets and the people who love them, and serves as a place to gather, connect, and work together to save the lives of dogs and cats in Northwest Arkansas and beyond.
