DIAMOND
The African American Trailblazers program is a free, ranger-led event at George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond, Missouri. It highlights the pioneering achievements of African American trailblazers, including George Washington Carver, who described himself as a “blazer of trails” and recognized he was not alone in his groundbreaking work. The program takes place on February 7 and 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. each day at the monument located at 5646 Carver Road, Diamond, MO 64840. Admission is free. CARTHAGE
The Carthage R-9 School Foundation Trivia Night 2026 is happening tomorrow, Saturday, February 7, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM at Specialty Risk Insurance, 10385 Blackberry Road, Carthage, Missouri. This popular fundraising event features trivia competition for teams of 6-8 ($150 entry), a best team theme/costume contest with a prize, exciting raffles, giveaways, drinks, and snacks. Participants can pre-purchase mulligans, snacks, and raffle items online for added convenience, and higher-level sponsors receive special freebies. After setting records for attendance, sponsors, and teams last year, spots are expected to fill quickly, so early registration is recommended. JOPLIN
The Joplin Public Library is hosting an All-Ages Black History Fair on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend this free community event to connect with others, hear from local members and organizations, and explore Black history, culture, and contributions in Joplin and beyond.

Leona, Love Thy Neighbor, Too is being performed on Sunday, February 7, 2026, at Stone’s Throw Dinner Theatre, located at 2466 Old 66 Blvd in Carthage, Missouri. Showtimes are 1:00 PM for the Sunday matinee and 6:30 PM for the evening performance. This is the same production that ran from January 30 through February 1.

Wayne “The Train” Hancock House Concert takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at The Coda Concert House, 2120 E 24th St. The retro country and rockabilly artist performs at 4:00 PM, with doors opening at 3:30 PM. A suggested donation of $35 is requested, and reservations are required by emailing info@codaconcerthouse.com.

Southern Symphony Orchestra – “Contrasts” is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 7:30 PM at Missouri Southern State University’s Taylor Auditorium, 3950 Newman Rd. This classical music concert is free and open to the public.
