Press Release for Search Warrants served in Cherokee County.

On January 28, 2026, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office and Special Agents with the Kansas Gaming and Racing Commission served search warrants at Galaxy Food Mart locations in Weir and Columbus.  

Evidence was seized in connection with illegal gambling activities that were taking place at both locations. 
The findings of this case will be submitted to the Cherokee County Attorney's Office.
