On January 13, Jay Police Department officers were dispatched to Casey’s General Store in Jay in reference to a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside the store who was bleeding from an apparent stab wound.
Emergency medical personnel were requested, and the victim was transported by medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment. Once the scene was secured, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) was contacted to assist with processing the crime scene and continuing the investigation.
During the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified as Kreedon Summerfield.
Summerfield was later located, arrested without incident, and booked into the Delaware County Jail.
The Jay Police Department would like to thank the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the District 13th Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Mayes County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team for their assistance in this case. This incident remains under investigation.
