The Miami Police Department has announced an arrest in a case involving allegations of child sexual abuse.

Miami Police worked alongside the Bureau of Indian Affairs Predatory Crimes Unit to investigate allegations involving the use of electronic communication to target a minor.

Investigators conducted multiple interviews and analyzed digital evidence, which police say led to probable cause.

On January 7, 2026, 32-year-old Dalton Clay Stringer of Miami was arrested and booked into the Ottawa County Jail.

He faces charges of child sexual abuse, soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor using technology, and an outstanding city warrant related to insurance verification.

All suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
