Pittsburg Police are investigating a vehicle versus building accident.

At 2038 hours on December 23, 2025, Officers with the Pittsburg Police Department were dispatched to John's Sport Center, located at 1806 N Broadway Street, for a vehicle versus building accident. Upon arrival, Officers observed a 2022 Hyundai Elantra driven by Justin Johnson.
The vehicle had struck the north side of John's Sports Center, damaging two air conditioning units and a fence in the process.
Members of the Pittsburg Fire Department and Crawford County EMS responded and evaluated the driver and three passengers.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated at thusness.
When Johnson lost consciousness, he accelerated the vehicle scene. All other occupants were uninjured. It was determined that the driver suffered a medical condition, causing him to lose conscioe until it struck the building. There were no indicators of impairment.
Pittsburg building inspectors, as well as Tri-State Building responded and secured the business. The investigation into this incident is ongoing at this time.
