Afton woman charged with animal cruelty after tossing caged dog into Grand Lake

A woman from Afton, Oklahoma, is charged with animal cruelty after she allegedly threw her estranged husband's caged dog into Grand Lake.

33-year-old Kyleigh Estes told detectives she was going through a divorce and was "overwhelmed" when she locked up the 5-year-old dog and tossed the kennel into the water, causing the animal to drown.

The alleged crime took place on May 25, Kyleigh was arrested and released a couple weeks later but will be back in court on July 11th.
