Two Pittsburg daycare workers sentenced after infant injured under their care

Two former Pittsburg, Kansas, daycare workers have been sentenced  after being charged with child endangerment.

Madison Thompson and Whitney Henderson were responsible for 4-month-old Benny Cannon. They reportedly left him unattended and unsecured in a bouncer which rolled over and cut off his oxygen.

That caused significant developmental disabilities, including cerebral palsy and vision issues.

Benny still requires around the clock professional care which the family says has been very expensive.

Thompson received a 60-day sentence in the Crawford County Jail. Henderson got 30 days behind bars

In April, Thompson pleaded guilty to aggravated battery, aggravated child endangerment, two counts of endangerment, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Henderson pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangerment.
