Christian County accident kills driver from Houston, Texas

There was a traffic accident on Westwind Drive, a mile north of Ozark in Christian County at 3:58 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred when a Dodge Durango driven by a 44-year-old female driver from Houston, Texas, crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
The woman was taken to a Springfield hospital where she was pronounced dead.
It was Highway Patrol Troop D's 50th fatality for 2025.
