Woman from Arizona injured in Cedar County accident

A woman from Arizona was injured in an accident on S-801 Road, about 4 miles east of El Dorado Springs in Cedar County just before 11 p.m. Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened when a 41-year-old woman from Kingman, Arizona's 2016 Mercedes E320 ran off the roadway and hit a tree.

The woman was seriously injured.  She was taken by air to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

She was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
