Rowan Ford remembered at bench dedication

A tribute to the life of Rowan Ford.

In Stella, Missouri, a bench was dedicated in the honor of Rowan, who was a fourth-grader at Tri-Way Elementary School when she was raped and murdered in 2007.

Rowan was remembered as a "ray of sunshine," a star student who was loved by her teachers and friends.

Chris Collings, a friend of her family, was convicted of her murder and was executed by lethal injection in December of last year.

Rowan's stepfather David Spears spent 11 years in jail for endangering the welfare of a child and helping cover up evidence of the crime.

If she were alive today, Rowan Ford would be 27 years old.
