DWI crash in McDonald County causes serious injuries to driver

It happened on Miles Mountain Road west of Washburn in McDonald County a little before 10 Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a woman's car failed to make a curve on a private drive, struck a tree stump and overturned into a structure.

46-year-old Amanda M. Whitney was ticketed for alleged driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving involving a crash.

She suffered serious injuries.

She was taken by aircraft to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville.
