Texan arrested following high-speed chase in southeast Kansas

A man from Texas was arrested in southeast Kansas following a high-speed chase.

The Independence Police Department, - the "IDP" arrested Jesus Manuel Rodriguez of Edinburg, Texas on charges of felony fleeing and eluding, transporting an open container and driving under the influence of alcohol.

The arrest followed a pursuit that went through a school zone in Independence and ended up on the Highway at a high rate of speed.

Rodriquez was booked into the Montgomery County Department of Corrections on multiple charges.
