Fluoride removal mandate fails to make it through Arkansas committee

In Arkansas, fluoride will be staying in public water systems, at least for now.

A measure that would have removed the mandate for water fluoridation failed to make it through a legislative Committee today [Wednesday].

Benefits of fluoride in water include a reduction in tooth decay and cavities and stronger tooth enamel.

Several dentist testified against the bill in front of that State Senate Committee.
