MSSU’s Dr. Brad Hodson named “sole finalist” for presidential position at SEMO

The Presidential Search Advisory Committee (PSAC) at Southeast Missouri State University has unanimously recommended the school’s Board invite Dr. Brad Hodson as the sole finalist for the position of SEMO President.

Dr. Hodson is currently Executive Vice President at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.

The current SEMO President, Dr. Carlos Vargas will leave the position as of June 30th.

The PSAC reportedly will name him Hodson President Designee subject to the approval to the Board of Governors at SEMO, which is located in Cape Girardeau.

In keeping with its commitment to provide the campus community an opportunity to engage in the process before the ultimate decision is made by the Board of Governors, the PSAC has invited Dr. Hodson to visit SEMO on Wednesday, February 12.

The visit will reportedly include two open forums, as well as other opportunities for him to visit with individuals inside and outside the University.

Open forums will wake place at the Glenn Auditorium in Dempster Hall from 9-10 a.m. and 12-1 p.m.

Dr. Hodson’s CV will be posted on the campus portal on Tuesday, February 11, along with an online feedback form. All feedback forms will be due by 5 p.m. on February 12.
