Joplin Public Library Black History Fair February 1st

The Joplin Public Library will present a Black History Fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 1st.

The event will be held at the library at 1901 E. 20th Street in Joplin.

This all-ages family event will feature a special guest, nationally known drummer and storyteller Kenya Ajanaku from 11-11:45 a.m.

Ajanaku will present his signature program, Rhythms and Folklore of Africa, a unique combination of storytelling, drumming, and dance

Interactive displays and informational booths hosted by community organizations and individuals will be available from 11:45 a.m. -1 p.m. in the same location.
