Woman from Mt. Vernon dies in Thursday morning accident in Lawrence County

A 52-year-old woman from Mt. Vernon is dead following an accident on Farm Road 1110 in Lawrence County about two miles south of Hoberg.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says the woman's vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and then impacted the ground and hit a tree.

The exact time of the accident is not known. She was pronounced dead just before 8 a.m. Thursday.

The woman's name was not released in accordance with Missouri State Highway Patrol Policy.
