Cyclist hits deer in roadway, overturns outside of Neosho

A motorcycle rider was injured in a crash on MO 86, one mile east of Neosho at 7:08 p.m. Friday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when an eastbound 2008 CB1000 motorcycle operated by 37-year-old Mason L. Snyder of Neosho struck a deer in the roadway.

Snyder was ejected from the motorcycle which overturned.

He was wearing a safety device.

Snyder suffered moderate injuries.

He was transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin,
