Two elderly Neosho residents injured, one seriously, in Wednesday afternoon crash

A two-vehicle collision on US 60, four miles west of Neosho Wednesday afternoon injured two elderly Neosho residents, one seriously. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by 91-year-old Delmar R. Hampton of Neosho pulled into the path of a 2023 Mitsubishi driven by 33-year-old Niccara L. Varela of Webb City. Hampton suffered only minor injuries but his passenger, 90-year-old Norma J. Hampton, was seriously injured. They were taken to Mercy-Joplin. No one else was injured.
