Jasper County Sheriff's office says calls to citizens are a scam

The Jasper County Sheriff's office has received reports of individuals calling and claiming to be a Jasper County Deputy telling the caller they missed court, have a warrant, etc.
"Yes, they may use a name of an actual deputy and they may even call from a “spoofed” number to make it appear legitimate," said on Facebook, "but we will never call you and tell you we will come arrest you if you don't send money."
The Sheriff's Office says it is most definitely a scam.
They say even if it sounds convincing, make a note of the PRESERVED_BLOCK_1 alleged information and then call the Jasper County Sheriff's office for verification.
