Two injured in Friday morning motorcycle accident

Two people were injured in a crash two miles west of Halltown on Highway 96 around 9:50 Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a northbound 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by 68-year-old Stanley D. Bears of Ash Grove failed to yield to a northbound 2009 Buell Motorcycle operated by 27-year-old Justice B. Hall of Joplin.

Both riders were ejected.

Neither was wearing a safety device.

Hall suffered moderate injuries. Bear had minor injuries.

They were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
