SEK man arrested for weapons charge after firing shot at home with children inside

A man from West Mineral, Kansas, has been arrested after he allegedly fired a gun at a home that had multiple children inside.

The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says they executed a search warrant at a rural northern Cherokee County home Monday afternoon, between Scammon and West Mineral.

The search warrant was part of an investigation into a shooting incident, where the suspect is alleged to have shot a nearby home, where several children were present.

During the course of the search, Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies located and seized several firearms.

Arrested at the scene was 28 year-old Mark Mauser, who was transported to the Cherokee County Jail on allegations of Criminal Discharge of a Firearm and three counts of Aggravated Child Endangerment.
