Dr. Robert Stringer dies at age 65

A longtime Four-State area physician and surgeon has died.


Dr. Robert Stringer was born in Topeka.


He later graduated from Pittsburg State University where he was the starting football center for PSU Gorillas.


After attending medical school in Kansas City, Dr. Stringer started his medical practice in Joplin in 1990. He worked for the remainder of his career in Joplin and Pittsburg.

He was on the staff of Mercy Hospital in Joplin and Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.


A Celebration of Life will be held at Hope City Church on Friday, June 28th Dr. Stringer was 65 years old.
