Joplin Fire called to Homewood Suites

Joplin Fire was called to the Homewood Suites hotel chain early Wednesday morning around 8 a.m.

A small fire in the maintenance area was reportedly the reason for the call. The sprinkler system kept the fire at bay until firefighters arrived on scene. No injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing. No official statement was made.
