Driver hits cow in roadway; Woman from Lockwood injured

A cow is getting the blame for an accident in Dade County around 6 this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 58-year-old Tracy Boyd of Lockwood was driving a Ford F-150 on Route A about a mile west of Meinert when she hit the cow in the roadway.

Boyd suffered moderate injuries.

She was taken by EMS to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
