Castro sentenced to 10 years for fatal DWI crash

Ten years: That was the sentence for Vincent Castro for a DWI crash that took the life of a man from Anderson. Castro pleaded guilty to 1st Degree Involuntary Manslaughter as part of a plea deal. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash occurred in August 2022 when a southbound 2004 Nissan Armada driven by then-25-year-old Vincent P. Castro of Anderson crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2010 Toyota Tacoma driven by 65-year-old David E. Cunningham, also of Anderson, head on. Cunningham received fatal injuries. Castro was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
